Advisors for the Nations was launched in September 2023, and is, in essence, a movement for financial professionals in southern Africa who want to be equipped to give advice from a Biblical and Christian worldview.
Background
In June 2013, I had the opportunity to meet Ron Blue who, in 1970, founded an Indianapolis-based Certified Public Accountant firm that has grown to be one of the largest of its kind in the United States. Leaving the firm in 1977, Ron worked with Leadership Dynamics International developing and teaching biblically-based leadership and management seminars in Africa and the USA. In 1979, Ron and his wife Judy were considering moving to South Africa to work with Campus Crusade for Christ. In the same year, on another trip to Africa, the well-known scholar Howard Hendricks challenged Ron Blue to use his background as CPA professional to help Christians be better stewards of the resources God had entrusted to them. This challenge, together with encouragement from other individuals, gave him the vision and courage to start Ronald Blue Trust, National Christian Foundation, Kingdom Advisors, and The Ron Blue Institute for Financial Planning.
In keeping with the original vision and courage of Ron Blue, we believe that the time has come to launch the movement for Christian Financial Professionals back to southern Africa, and then to the nations.
I am still challenged by the words of David Platt, whom I met at the 2018 Kingdom Advisors conference:
Are we going to choose comfort or the cross?
Are we going to settle for maintenance or sacrifice for mission?
Jesus has not given us a commission to consider; he has given us a command to obey.

2024 Conference details
The 2024 Conference will take place from 3 – 6 October, and will be held at the magnificent Hippo Lakes in the Waterberg area. For more information about this beautiful place in the Bushveld (about 30 minutes from Vaalwater) please watch this short video:
The per person costs for the conference are currently estimated as follows:

During the conference we will be exposed to inspiring local and international speakers who will equip us to integrate our Christian faith with professional financial advice.
Unfortunately, due to limited accommodation, we can only accommodate 60 people.
